Founded in 1900, The Toledo Zoo is home to over 5,300 animals representing over 760 Species. It is one of the world’s most complete zoos, and is a top family destination for this region. episode 13 Blissfield Dinner Train

Only a short ride from the City of Toledo is the Old Road Dinner Train. The dinner train is the longest continuously operating 5 star dinner train in North America. The railroad that the dinner train runs on was formed in 1991 to operate dinner and freight trains on historical rail lines that were originally laid in 1836. So when you get the chance take the short ride up to Blissfield Michigan and take a ride on the Old Road Dinner Train!

episode 12 Toledo Speedway

Be sure to check out Toledo Speedway for one of the fastest short tracks in the nation. The track is a 1/2 mile semi banked oval with a 1/4 mile figure eight in the middle. Built in 1960 as a dirt track, Speedway has been attracting fans and race teams from over 20 states and Canada every season.

Head out to Fort Meigs and check out the ten acre fort that was once home to over 3,500 soldiers during the summer of 1813. The fort is composed of almost three thousand logs and while you check out the fort you can also enjoy the full service museum, numerous earthworks and seven blockhouses!

Step back in time with Sauder Village in Archbold, OH. Ohio’s largest living-history village is less than an hour away from the Toledo Area. You can experience an old time village preserved for families and friends to experience what life was really like 100 years ago.

Founded in 1976, the Toledo Firefighters Museum does a great job of mixing history with fun. Experience vintage pumpers, uniforms and equipment used by the city’s first bucket brigade. You could say it's a blast from the past.

Jon Hendricks, who is considered to be the "Father of Vocalese", is a frequent visitor at Murphy's Place.
