If you enjoy watching quality competitive tennis, Toledo, Ohio is the place to be Friday through Sunday, Aug 6-8. Over 300 of the districts best adult and senior players will be competing at our District Championships. This is Northwest Ohios premier adult event, and is the very first year that Jermain and Ottawa Parks will be the host for this event. The District Championships bring the top two and up to the top four teams at each level to compete for the District Title. This is a round robin event with the winners proceeding to the Ohio State Championships held in Ohio Valley the very next weekend.
Parking and admission are FREE, so its a great chance to see the best of the best at each level compete, see quality tennis while giving your pocketbook a break for the weekend.
The Northwestern Ohio Tennis Association (NWOTA), who is hosting the event, is a volunteer based organization and dedicated to promote and develop the growth of tennis. The USTA/NWOTA district offers tennis for the entire family, check our website for more information. It's perfect for every level of play and includes health benefits, fitness, ability to meet new friends and compete at various levels from 2.5 to 5.0. The 2.5 women, 3.0 men and women, 3.5 men and women, and 4.0 men and women will all be represented together with a 4.0 Senior Womens championship on Friday evening.
BCSN will be covering some matches throughout the weekend, and the district will be recognizing their adult award winners Sunday.
