      Launched in 1911, the S.S. James Schoonmaker, once the largest freighter on the Great Lakes, has been restored. Visitors are awed by the massive engine room, posh officer's dining room, stainless steel galley and the captain's quarters.

      Enjoy lunch at the original Tony Packo’s on Front St. in east Toledo, the Spaghetti Warehouse in downtown Toledo, or one of the Docks restaurants located next to the S.S. Willis B. Boyer.

1:00 p.m.     Glass Pavilion , Toledo
      Enjoy a free glassblowing demonstration as resident glass artists make beautiful objects from molten glass.  Opened in 2006, the postmodern Glass Pavilion is home to TMA’s world-renowned glass collection, featuring more than 5,000 works of art from ancient to contemporary times.

2:30 p.m.     Toledo Firefighters Museum , Toledo
      The museum's million dollar display includes many large pieces of vintage firefighting equipment. The centerpiece of the museum is the 1837 Neptune, Toledo's first fire pumper. Lovingly restored by Toledo Firefighters, the hand-pulled, hand operated Neptune required a 20-man crew and could deliver about 300 gallons of water per minute.
Cost:     Free admission.  Groups by appointment weekdays and weekends.  General hours are Saturdays from Noon to 4 p.m.  All public areas are handicap accessible.
