SS Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship

**Due to weather delays in getting the boat ready for tourism season, the ship will remain closed for the remainder of our normal operating season.**

Launched in 1911, the SS Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship, once the largest freighter on the Great Lakes, has been restored. Visitors are awed by the massive engine room, posh officer's dining room, stainless steel galley and the captain's quarters.

* Ship must close because of foul weather: rain, high wind, snow. A sign will be visible near entrance of ship if an unexpected "close" happens.
